Vin Jaune du Jura 2012 (62cl / 14%)
Vin Jaune (French "yellow wine") is a special and characteristic type of white wine made in the Jura region of eastern France. It gets its character of being matured in a barrel under a yeast film for 6 years in oak barrels, known as veil, on the surface of the wine. The wine is made from Savagnin grapes, with some of the most upscale examples from marl-based vineyards in the Chateau-Chalon AOC.
